About Tynietta R.
Congo-Wright
I’m Tynietta R. Congo-Wright—author, speaker, mentor, and founder of S.O.S (Strength of Survival). My journey has been marked by unimaginable loss, spiritual awakening, and a powerful reinvention of self. After a season of walking away from God and facing the devastating loss of my son, I found myself in the deepest pain I had ever known. Yet, through that pain, God met me with purpose.
S.O.S. was birthed from my healing process—a commitment to recover, rebuild, and be restored. It’s more than a brand; it’s a lifeline for those who have suffered deeply yet choose to stand. Through my book, The Reinvention of Me, devotionals, reflections, and the messages I share, I strive to help others see that healing is possible, hope is real, and survival is strength.
I am also the founder of the Jameil Aikeem Congo Cares Foundation (JACC), created in honor of my son. JACC supports individuals and families affected by gun violence through healing circles, support groups, and daily living assistance. It is an extension of my heart, serving others with the same compassion I needed during my most broken moments.
At the core of my journey is Psalm 91: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” This verse has become my anchor, reminding me that no matter what life brings, I am covered, protected, and never alone.
Every word I write, every podcast I record, and every space I hold for others is rooted in my personal journey of rediscovery and grace. I don’t have all the answers, but I walk in faith, trusting that what once broke me is now being used to bless others.
About S.O.S. - Strength of Survival
My name is Tynietta R. Congo Wright, and I am a survivor.
I created S.O.S. - Strength of Survival as a space for people like me—people who have walked through fire, felt the weight of grief, wrestled with their faith, and still chose to stand.
This brand was born from personal pain, deep healing, and a calling I couldn’t ignore. After losing my son to gun violence and experiencing years of spiritual wandering, I found myself in a place where only God could reach me. And He did.
