It’s Time to Pick It Back Up
There comes a time in life when you look around and realize that somewhere along the journey… you put parts of yourself down.
It didn’t happen all at once.
It happened through life experiences.
Through pain.
Through loss.
Through moments where surviving became more important than anything else.
And in those moments, you did what you had to do.
You paused dreams.
You stepped away from passions.
You stopped doing the things that once brought you joy.
Not because you didn’t love them—but because life got heavy.
At Strength of Survival (SOS), we understand that survival seasons are real. They are necessary. They shape us.
But survival is not where your story is meant to end.
There is another side to healing—and it’s called restoration.
Restoration is where you begin to remember who you were before everything happened.
It’s where you start to reconnect with the things God placed inside of you.
It’s where you realize that just because you paused something… doesn’t mean it’s gone.
For me, this has looked like slowly picking things back up.
Things I once loved.
Things I once wanted to learn.
Things that felt impossible to return to after loss.
And I’ll be honest—it’s not always easy.
There are moments of doubt.
Moments where you question if you still have it in you.
Moments where fear tries to convince you to stay where you are.
But growth doesn’t happen in staying stuck.
It happens in movement.
Even if that movement is small.
Picking it back up doesn’t mean you have to go full speed.
It doesn’t mean you have to have everything figured out.
It simply means you are willing to try again.
Willing to trust God again.
Willing to believe in yourself again.
Willing to step forward—even if it feels unfamiliar.
Because here’s the truth:
What God placed inside of you still matters.
Your purpose didn’t expire.
Your calling didn’t disappear.
It was just waiting for you to come back to it.
So today, I encourage you:
Pick one thing.
Just one.
And take one step toward it.
That’s how healing turns into purpose.
That’s how survival turns into strength.
That’s how you become stronger.
